"How did Keni do today? What did he eat? Did you take him for a walk? How were his poops? Did he say any new words? Did he nap? For how long? Was he grumpy when he woke up? What are we doing for dinner? Do you need me to pick up any diapers/wipes/pediasure/wine?" It's not really a conversation and not quite an interrogation, but somewhere in between.
Our babe has been home now for 8 months, so we felt like it was time for a little "reconnecting" (interpret as you wish). My parents selflessly agreed to spend their weekend with Keni so that Mike and I could explore topics of conversation that have nothing to do with teething or the new teacher at daycare.
So, what did we do? We saw a movie (Midnight in Paris), had a late dinner at the Blue Room, sat on the beach, listened to our iPods, read, washed down some fried clams with some summer brews, watched a Sox game, slept until 9:30am, enjoyed Moroccan-influenced food and a belly dancer at Tangierino, drank wine on Cory and Anj's deck, slept in again, enjoyed a delicious birthday meal with the family, and went for a quiet walk in my parents' neighborhood.
It was deeeeelightful. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for giving us the chance to exhale.

NICE. Glad you guys had a great weekend! xo
