On Friday, we met up with Kathy, Geoff and Luke in Sturbridge (kind of the halfway point between our Turkey Day gatherings) and the weather could not have been better. Keni had the chance to meet my best friend and it was such a special visit. It was another low-key and relaxing day thanks to having children who are able to roll with it. Both Luke and Keni seemed to enjoy themselves and gave us adults the chance to catch up a bit. Car ride = nap = happy and flexible child.
On Saturday, another Cathy came over for lunch and a trip to the park. Keni was fascinated by her hair and the NBA logo on her shirt. We enjoyed some veggie tacos (I tried making them with fake meat and they were really yummy) and then kicked back at the playground while the wee one played in the sand and the leaves.
I didn't have my camera with me at all times (shocking, I know)...but here are a few shots from the holiday.

And here are a few shots from our meetup with the D family.

On a completely different note, November is Adoption Awareness Month. I feel a bit behind since it is almost the end of the month and I haven't posted anything about this! It's not that I haven't been thinking about it and reading other people's reflections throughout the month. I guess I've just been having a tough time putting my thoughts into words. Then I came across this post and realized that Alissa very eloquently summed up my thoughts. I know it's the easy way out, but she's a much better writer than me. Enjoy!
